Position Summary

 

The Junior Accountant will support and enhance the financial infrastructure of the firm, contributing to daily accounting operations, monthly close processes, and long-term financial health. Working closely with the Accounting Manager and Treasurer, the ideal candidate brings a combination of technical accounting skills, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to communicate clearly across departments.

 

What You’ll Do

 

In this role, you’ll:

  • Manage daily accounting functions including AP/AR, general ledger, and reconciliations.
  • Prepare and process client invoices in partnership with project managers.
  • Support month-end and year-end close, journal entries, and reporting.
  • Track project budgets, consultant invoices, and vendor payments.
  • Assist with cash flow forecasting and budget analysis.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and help streamline accounting processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights that support business goals.

 

What We’re Looking For

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required).
  • 0-2 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Understanding of GAAP and accrual-based accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP/accounting systems (Ajera, QuickBooks, or similar a plus).
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Clear communicator who can explain financial concepts across teams.
  • Integrity, professionalism, and a collaborative mindset.
