As a Consulting CFO, You Will:
- Use your expertise and experience to engage leaders in natural discussions, explaining how vcfo’s team can help prospects and existing clients
- Work on a daily basis with three to five companies, often in wide-ranging industries
- Build a trusted-advisor relationship with vcfo clients, setting clear expectations and steadfastly maintaining the highest level of integrity, accountability, professionalism, and communication
- Provide innovative strategies to enable our clients to grow revenue, improve profitability, and position themselves to take advantage of market changes, as well as merger, acquisition, and exit opportunities
- Lead, collaborate with, and mentor vcfo employees and client teams
- Collaborate with other vcfo employees to help build our practice
- Grow our collaborative environment by actively mentoring vcfo controllers and assistant controllers, collaborating with vcfo human resource consultants, supporting our marketing initiatives, and adhering to vcfo’s best practices as an Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS®) company
Requirements:
- BBA in Accounting or Finance required, MBA or CPA a plus
- 15+ years of finance and accounting experience
- CFO for at least five years in a rapidly growing and changing environment
- Comfortable participating in conversations with prospects and clients regarding new business opportunities
- Experience in multiple industries
- Comfortable reporting to executives and boards
- Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and modeling
- Well-versed in system selection and implementation
- Strong knowledge of treasury, fund raising, debt negotiation, and financing options
- Experience leading merger and acquisition activities, from identification through integration
- Consider yourself a lifelong learner, eager for new learning opportunities and constructive feedback
- Sensitive and effective coaching or mentoring experience
- Ability to build rapport with customers, anticipating their needs and exceeding their expectations
